When you create an event, we collect your email address (used only for login and event notifications). When contributors submit stories, voice notes, or photos, we store that content in order to generate and display the event's narrative. Contributors may optionally provide an email address to receive a confirmation — we use it for nothing else.
We share content with OpenAI solely to generate narratives — they process it under OpenAI's Privacy Policy. We use Supabase for database and file storage, and Resend for email delivery. We do not sell your data.
Story pages become publicly accessible only after an organizer publishes them. Organizers are responsible for sharing that link only with intended recipients. If you need a story removed, contact us at hello@gather-stories.com.
Event data and submissions are retained indefinitely so that stories remain accessible. Organizers may request deletion of their events and all associated data by contacting us.
